Eugène Atget spent thirty years capturing the historic essence of Paris through his photography, including its buildings, monuments, streets, and parks. Rather than definitive single images, Atget created series of interconnected photos to portray the city comprehensively. This book presents 240 of his photographs, many unpublished, that highlight the link between his method and subject, showcasing the character of "Le Vieux Paris". The book also complements an exhibition inspired by Berenice Abbott's similar vision in "Changing New York", reflecting the shared perspectives of both photographers.
