The book is a facsimile edition of Kiyoshi Koishi's 1933 Japanese classic, considered one of the greatest photography books of the 20th century. Due to destruction over time and during World War II, few original copies survived. Reproduced by Nazraeli Press and Kokusho Kankokai, the limited edition features an oversize-volume format with metallic spiral-bound hardcovers. It includes ten powerful images accompanied by poetic fragments, showcasing techniques like high-contrast printing, photograms, photomontage, and blurred exposures. Essays by Kotaro Iizawa and Ryuichi Kaneko accompany the work, highlighting its role in the New Photography Movement in Japan.
