This modern version of Ansel Adams’s 1938 book presents 50 photographs of the Sierra Nevada and the John Muir Trail. Produced as a limited edition of 500 numbered and 26 lettered copies, it uses light, silk-finish paper and stochastic printing for continuous-tone reproductions. The photographs are tipped in along their top edges. The clothbound volume, set in hand-set letterpress type, is housed in a linen slipcase.
