In 1976, during the Cold War, the "Photography USA" exhibit at an American Cultural Exchange in Kiev allowed Russian participants to view themselves in a full-length mirror and pose before using a cable release to activate a view camera. This innovative setup also triggered additional cameras from various perspectives. The project captured the participants' self-curated reflections, producing results that differed from initial expectations. This exhibit explored themes of self-perception, cultural exchange, and differing perspectives, highlighting the technical and artistic collaboration that transcended political boundaries of the era.
