The Hiroshi Sugimoto Collection includes five books published between 2014 and 2019 about iconic series by Japanese artist Hiroshi Sugimoto, focusing on his theme of the "fossilization of time." The series "Dioramas" captures lifelike artificial scenes, begun in 1974; "Seascapes" meditates on time and nature through global seascapes; "Theaters" features theater interiors lit only by projected films; "Portraits" includes photographed wax figures, exploring the essence of portraits; and "Architecture" presents blurred photographs of modernist buildings, aiming to capture their conceptual origins. These collections are collaborations with Damiani and MW Editions.
