Sebastião Salgado's GENESIS is an eight-year photographic project exploring untouched regions of the planet, highlighting the beauty and fragility of nature. Through black-and-white images, Salgado captures the pristine landscapes and diverse wildlife of the Galápagos, Antarctic, South Atlantic, Amazon, and more, alongside indigenous peoples like the Zo’é, Korowai, and Mentawai. The book is a culmination of over 30 expeditions by foot, air, and sea, aiming to preserve Earth’s natural state. GENESIS accompanies the efforts of Instituto Terra, emphasizing the need to protect and restore the environment, reflecting Salgado's lifelong reverence for nature.
