Giancarlo Ceraudo’s monograph documents Destino Final, an eight-year photographic investigation into Argentina’s 1976–1983 military dictatorship and the “death flights” used to murder political detainees. Created with journalist and former detainee Miriam Lewin, the project helped uncover five Navy aircraft and detailed flight plans later used as judicial evidence. The photographs portray survivors, relatives of the disappeared, detention and torture centers, forensic anthropologists, the Madres de Plaza de Mayo, public protests, and court proceedings. Archival documents accompany the images, along with Lewin’s main text and additional contributions.
