Journey for Something is a photography book by Daido Moriyama that showcases both his new work and classic images, along with some unpublished photographs, curated by the artist himself. Originating from the 2012 exhibition at Galerie Alex Daniels–Reflex in Amsterdam, the book features over 230 large-scale images. It captures the gritty essence of Shinjuku in the 1970s, as well as scenes from Tokyo to Osaka. With a light, handheld camera often used as a tourist, Moriyama presents playful and surrealist images, such as nightclubs, shoes on wires, and a man running naked, offering an engaging visual journey.
