Doris Ulmann

(1882-1934)

    Doris Ulmann (May 29, 1882 – August 28, 1934) was an American photographer, best known for her portraits of the people of Appalachia, particularly craftsmen and musicians, made between 1928 and 1934. She collaborated with writer Julia Peterkin on Roll, Jordan, Roll.
