This book is a monograph on Miroslav Tichý, featuring his unconventional photographic oeuvre characterized by blurred and underexposed images predominantly of women, captured using handmade cameras. After his education at the Academy of Arts in Prague, Tichý lived in Kyjov, Moravia, in isolation, producing dreamlike images of feminine beauty that defied conventional photographic rules. These photographs, taken during the Czechoslovak Communist regime, offer poetic glimpses into small-town life. The book also includes texts discussing Tichý's work and life, alongside song lyrics by Nick Cave written in tribute to the artist.
