This monograph presents Bruce Davidson’s photographs of a single block in East Harlem, made over two years during the 1960s. Returning daily, Davidson photographed residents on the sidewalks and in their homes, making portraits of individuals, children, families, and domestic interiors. Originally published in 1970, this reissue includes more than 20 photographs not included in the original edition.
